Charlie Brown
Been using my "pocketable" FujiFilm camera on our walks lately so I can concentrate on keeping upright on the icy paths, and in case I do fall, it will be protected in my pocket. The one time I did fall, however, it fell out of my pocket and I didn't notice it missing until a few minutes later. Oops. lol
At Massasoit State Park
We haven't done a lot of walking since the snow got too hard to navigate. It wouldn't be so bad now if it wasn't frozen. We went once or twice last week, but the last few days has been great snow-melting weather so hopefully things will be much better there now. We'll be going this week for sure. We were talking about tomorrow but it might be too rainy (which will help get rid of the snow). Can't wait...need the exercise badly.

Icy Shore
Can't wait till I can post nice warm-themed photos. Anyway, I guess I could be a little more creative and shoot something besides the outdoor scenery - pretty as it is, it is getting old. All my interests have kind of taken a backseat from feeling sorry for myself these days. But lately I can see the weather improving and I feel the worst of this winter is behind us. I hope I'm right.
Recently, my interest in paranormal investigating ("ghost hunting") returned with a vengeance. I can't say I didn't know it had faded, but I didn't realize just how much until it returned. There's just so much on my mind these days...
I definitely need a vacation very soon. lately it seems a lot of people I know are off to Florida...either there now or going soon. I wonder if I can stow away. lol.

Sparrow in the snow
Stopped at the canal by the railroad bridge this week for the first time in a long time. They had the area closed down for most or all of the summer to redo the parking lot. I can't wait to start going there again. This time was just a short visit because I didn't have much time, plus it was soooooo much colder near the water.

Brrrrr...oh well.
I don't care anymore. Let it snow let it snow let it snow...let me freeze. The good news though, is that when I finally get used to it, the weather will finally warm up and try to spoil me again. Keeping my fingers crossed, as the next snow is predicted for tomorrow.

Woods After a Snowstorm
Taken at ISO 400, with my 50mm f1.8 lens and post processed. I know, I have posted similar shots before. I keep trying to get it right. Each time I post it I think this is the one, but soon after, when I look at it, I feel it still isn't quite what I've been trying for. So obviously I think I've got it now, but in a few days I might feel differently.
This time I've got plenty of patches of sunshine which I think really livens it up. After working on the brightness, contrast, etc., I thought it was fine, but already there was something wrong. So before posting it now, I "warmed it up" (bad choice of words considering the subject?) and I think that was just what it needed.

Snow!
From a previous snowstorm, not the more recent one. I knew we were going to get a lot of snow this winter and it's looking like I might be right...unfortunately.

Another Sign of Spring
A snow shovel full of rain water. Not necessarily a sign of spring but it is in this case. As long as it isn't full of snow, I'm happy.

The graffiti on the rock
This one shows the graffiti on the rock a little clearer, although some is covered by the snow, as well as more detail, rather than a silhouette.
Update:
A few years after this, (11/2015 I believe), Jason and I
were invited by our chief and other chiefs (chieves?) in the area as
well as other people from our tribe. The graffiti had been cleaned off
by state workers and we followed up with a cleansing of the land.
A few years after that, Profile Rock crumbled. :(

Island of Death
Well no, it's not really an island, but it kind of resembles that to me at the moment.

Snowstorm
Actually this pic is a day late. The 10th was so hectic with the rain and snow, etc., that I never ended up taking a picture.
I liked the way the leaves added a slight splash of color in an otherwise "monochrome" world, and kind of added a softness to the otherwise sharp contrast.
