Hawk (I forget the type)
At King Richard's Faire. Can get a picture of him on my arm but thought I better save the $20 this time. Gonna do it eventually though.

Bigass Bird
Couldn't get a really good shot but was able to improve it in post processing. Love the pattern on his/her back. After taking a few shots, I heard a shriek and when I looked again, he/she was gone. Wish I caught her taking flight. Oh well.

More Big Birds
I was pulled off the road trying to get a good shot of a heron (got a couple "ok" shots)...
Several yards ahead of me (to my Aussie and European friends, that's meters) I saw a huge hawk land in the brush by the edge of the road. I could only see movement in there from time to time, figured she was catching a mouse or something. After awhile she came flying out of the bushes. In the picture it looks like she might be carrying a critter of some sort but I'm not sure (the pic was taken in a hurry and through my windshield)...
And obeying all traffic laws, ie; using turn signals, keeping right (to my Aussie and European friends, that's "right"), proceeded down the street...
...and landed in the tree down the road a bit. I'm not sure if she was enjoying lunch or not, as you can see she was facing away from me, but she didn't stay there long at all.

Skittish
The area where I sometimes see lots of hawks and other birds of prey was active today, but the hawks seemed very skittish. I would pull over a distance away from where they were perched in a tree near the road, but before I even reached for my camera they would "move on". This one was taken from further away than I had been trying and through my truck window, so it's not the best but at least he/she let me get a photo.
