An "ehh...ok" shot of a hummingbird

I was watching her, and I thought she was watching me. What she was actually doing was guarding "her" flowers. Every time another hummingbird came to the flowers, thinking they were going to have a treat, and me thinking I was going to get a good photo, she would divebomb the intruder and they'd both fly off together. Then she would return a few minutes later until it happened again. Fun to watch but frustrating to photograph. lol

Bee Balm

The hummingbirds love the flowers of this herb so I waited...still trying to get a good shot but I have seen them and gotten "ehh..ok" shots.

Corn Hill Beach ~ Truro, MA

The photo posted previously is also from this set. My niece Kara had her wedding on this beach. It was awesome.

The photo below is a scene taken from the road up the hill in the photo above, probably about where the higher telephone pole is. The hill doesn't look very high from this angle but the view from up there is amazing, my photo doesn't do it justice.

I don't know if it's the citrus smell (citronella) that's attracting the woodpecker to the tiki torch or what is, but (s)he keeps returning and pecking away at it.
