So while at work a week ago I decided to wander through the building with the Fuji, and in this one room that has always had the nicest plants in it, I came across this beauty. I will have to find out what kind of plant it is and when I do I'll update this blog.
Thanks Kay, for the info! I should have thought of asking you in the first place.
I did ask the owner of the plant and she didn't know what it was but said the plant is usually covered with flowers like the one in the picture. That must be beautiful.

FujiFilm - January 9
Got a star filter and was practicing "product photography". Again I overdid it with post-processing on this one, mainly oversharpening it. Overbrightened (is that a word?) it too. Still I think it came out good and the camera's many minor scratches are pretty much "washed" out.
This is a picture of my Fuji camera which I am rarely caught without. It's the main one I use in my paranormal investigations too.

Glazed Over - Jan 8
During my week off, the night after my birthday (yes, thank you, thank you) I went out to get a cuppa coffee and noticed all the snow had this high glossy glaze to it that reflected light like water. Thinking I should take a picture of it somewhere but not sure where, my decision was made when I drove by this cemetery. The pics came out very dark but with some serious over-post-processing, I came up with this as well as a couple other overly worked shots. This was taken with my FujiFilm A820 which I almost always have with me.

Pic from January 6
In a group I'm in we have a photo challenge "club". A recent challenge was "things that mean something to your town". One thing I was trying for was one of the two herring runs. I thought this pic kind of a summarized how much the park apparently means to the younger townspeople (just assuming that's how this occurred).
