Valentine's Day (*yuck*) - Birthday Celebration - 2/14

Sally (Allyson's sister), visiting from Alabama, asked me to attend the birthday celebration of her niece with her (She was killed along with her boyfriend, in a car accident. She would have been 19). It was very nice and we had a nice time.
Sally's son was very tired so I gave them a ride back to the house they were staying at. He perked up a little when I mentioned the town hall, as we were driving by it, has been investigated by paranormal investigators. He woke up completely when I told him that I'm a paranormal investigator too.
At the party, each table had a different photo of Keri on it. This is a picture of the display at our table.

Friday The 13th

OK...not a pic by me...and probably not taken today (2/13) but since I had nothing and didn't want a special day such as this - Friday the 13th - to go un-noted, I found the next best thing. Happy FT13th e-1!

After the tree removal... Feb 10

So...big changes here, now that the wilderness has been tamed. Big changes.

I feel like I live in a fishbowl when I'm out there now. Lot's of shrubbery is in order, new trees, fences, a vegetable garden, a shed...maybe a pool. That would be sweet.

Flying Trees and a Monkey Man - 02092009

Today the backyard was full of flying trees and a "monkey man". That's what I call the guy that hitched a ride on the crane from tree to tree. He'd cut the top half off and the crane would put it down for the crew waiting on the ground, while he waited on the decapitated tree for the crane to come back...then attach himself and "fly" off to another tree or sometimes to take another section.
Well, I had to go to work before they were finished so when I get some more pics in the morning I'll create an album and post a slideshow or something. I got a few video clips too. It's dark out but it looks like they didn't finish...have to see when the u=sun comes up.
It's very sad to see all those trees gone, but it was fascinating to watch.

Tomorrow AM I will be awakened by the sound of chainsaws and probably trees crashing to the ground. They'll probably be here before I'm awake so I'll try to get pictures as soon as I AM awake.
Could not start the Blazer, so it's in a very bad spot (tried pushing it before and it won't budge). I hope they're not worried about scratching it.
I hope they'll be careful of my water gardens.

We Like The Moon... February the 8th

Must keep trying. This is the best moon photo I got today, actually the best I've ever gotten I think. But still LOTS of room for improvement. I'll keep shooting for many moons to come.
